  How does it work?  
  

  When you run Vigilance it compares your current files with those already stored on our secure
  web servers. It then only transfers the changed portions of those that require updating.
  Unwanted temporary files and directories are ignored. Old versions of your files are stored in
  dated folder to provide historical archives. A fuller technical description is here.

How do I know that   
it has worked?   

  An E-Mail is automatically sent you containing a brief and easily understandable status report.
  IMPORTANT: We pro-actively monitor the system - if a backup has not been run for a week,
  say, we will contact you.

What does it backup  
and not backup?   

  It automatically backs up all valuable and useful Windows system files, all your EMail, and all
  your My Documents Folders. You can specify additional Drives and/or Directories. By default,
  everything but obvious known temporary files are backed up, but you can also set certain files,
  file types and directories to be ignored.

Where does it back up to?  

  To our own fully secured Servers.

How long does it take?  
  

  This depends on several factors:
     - Total no. of files, their sizes and frequency of use.
     - The speed of the PC or Server Vigilance runs on
     - Your Internet connection speed
  Typically though it only takes half an hour or so.

How do I retrieve files?   

  Very easily. We give you a unique web address, login and password. Using your browser or an
  FTP client program, you then just download any files you need, whenever you want
  (Demo Site). We can also provide the files on CDs/DVDs. (Note: charges apply for these).

Why is it better than other

  Mainly because it is so easy! Experience shows that people rarely bother to do Tape Backups,
